BATD DANCE EXAMS – IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please read the following information carefully regarding the upcoming BATD dance examinations.

1. Exam Fees & Payment Deadline

This invoice is for exam payment only. Please refer to the separate email regarding your dancer’s exam time slot. These will be sent out once all entries have been confirmed and final numbers are available.

All exam fees must be paid in full by Sunday 15th November 2026. Any dancer whose fees have not been paid in full by this date will not be entered for the examinations.

If you are experiencing any difficulties meeting the payment deadline, please contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss this.

If your child will not be taking part in the exams, please let us know by email as soon as possible.

2. Exam Date, Venue & Times

Date: Sunday 6th December 2026
Venue: Dancewest Studios, Barnhill Farm
Approximate exam hours: 9:00am–2:30pm - Please note that these are the overall running times for the examination day. Each dancer will be allocated an individual time slot, which will be sent out once all exam entries have been confirmed.

3. Exam Uniform Requirements

Please ensure your dancer arrives wearing the correct uniform for their examination.

Ballet & Tap Exams

Starlite–P6

Full class ballet uniform/dress

Pink ballet socks

Pink ballet shoes

Tan buckle tap shoes or silver sparkle tap shoes

Important: Ballet tights are strictly not permitted for Starlite–P7 exams. Pink ballet socks must be worn.

P7+ Tap Exams:

Class leotard

Pink ballet tights

Tan tap shoes

Pom Exams

Dancewest T-shirt (NOT SHOW TSHIRT)

Black Dancewest shorts or plain black shorts

White trainer socks

Tan jazz shoes

4. Hair & Appearance Requirements

For all examinations, hair must be styled as follows:

Hair in a neat, low bun with a centre parting

A hairnet must be used

Please do not use a hair donut

The following are NOT permitted:

Hair accessories

Glitter

Makeup

Nail polish

Jewellery or watches

Please ensure your dancer arrives fully prepared and in the correct uniform to help the examination day run smoothly.
